On September 28, The Villas of Oak Park and the Southview Senior Communities team will be joining the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota for the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Target Field. There are 5.8 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s today, and that number is projected to rise to nearly 14 million by 2050. Oak Park Senior Living spent the last several days celebrating Elvis Week. Pictured here is Kent Appeldoorn bringing some fun, along with a few Elvis songs during his performance. He even had some help from one of our tenants, Anita Crumb, on guitar. Other events included watching a DVD of the real Elvis live in concert in Las Vegas, an old fashioned soda shop, and entertainment by Michael Riddle.
